During this food tour through Fort de France, you will stop in different places in order to taste local pastries, sugarcane juice, local candies and a salty special surprise you will eat at table in the most colorful street of Fort de France!
This tour is a fun way to discover the city and its treasures. A perfect combination of the city richest history and juicy gossip… with food tasting!
Start your tour passing by Savannah park where you may meet some iguanas taking a sunbath on the grass. See the impressive architecture of the Schoelcher Library which holds many of Victor Schoelcher works, as well as his donation from his own personal collection of books.
On the way to your food tasting stops, discover the Préfecture (local administration), the former City Hall and much more.
Time to drink a refreshing sugarcane juice crushed in front of you.
Stroll through the local market where your guide will show you the local delicacy and hidden secrets, as well as point out the local spices and quirky souvenirs. Soak up the sights, smells and sounds!
Follow your guide until the most artistic street of Fort de France, where Françoise will serve you a tasting-sized dish.
The St Louis cathedral is a Romanesque revival style Cathedral that is worth the visit. Built in the late 19th Century, is located in the downtown area of Fort De France. It had to be rebuilt 7 times on the same place due to natural disasters.
You cannot end the food tour without toasting with our premium local product: the rum!

Cancellation policy:
Canceled by client prior to excursion date with a minimum of 5 Days prior notice by email. Your ship skips/misses the port. Weather conditions or equipment failure prevents the operator from running the excursion. Cancellations refund requests that do not comply with the above may not be subject to refund. Refunds may be subject to a service charge fee as determined by the payment processor (usually 5%). If you are late you are considered as a no show and you will not be refunded. We require a minimum of 4 customers to run a tour. If the minimum is not met your tour may be cancelled.
